Sunday January 13th 2008 Show Report
What a busy day we had with the usual long queue of eager collectors forming well before opening time, despite the freezing cold weather. Many of our visitors told us that they really appreciated the wonderful range of makers and sellers, including our 'new faces.' The hall was packed all day with some buyers seeming very reluctant to leave us at closing time! We had one of our highest attendances ever at this event.....
Herdwick Landscapes - 1/24th scale cottages What a lot of interest these gorgeous little cottages generated at the show.
Lilyelf Miniatures - had an interesting selection of beautiful hand sculpted and costumed little characters
The Miniature Cake Shop - had for sale all sorts of miniature cakes and filled counters
Harvington Miniatures brought original paintings, frames and easels, and some furniture. This was Dave's first everminiatures show. We are delighted he chose Stafford to make his fair debut! And what a day he had. His work was so well received he'll have very hot paintbrushes replacing his stock! His smile says it all.... If you missed Dave at Stafford, you can see him at our next show at Pudsey, Leeds in April.
*DJD* - Deb Jackson Designs had loads of one of a kind and unusual miniatures This is Deb and her Doctors Bleeding Set - unusual to say the least.
Free Prize Draw Alexia Poulton of Worcestershire was the lucky winner of the wonderful prize this time - Railway Cottage, made by the Dolls House Builder. And the day of the show was her birthday. What a lovely surprise birthday present!
Next Stafford show is on Sunday September 7th. For full details, click here
